Vocation/Avocation: I am currently a partner in an investment banking firm that helps entrepreneurs and early stage companies find capital to grow. I have always been involved in finance, but this is one of the most exciting areas I have been involved in. It is amazing the ideas and entrepreneurial spirit of people.

 

For fun: I love to read, needlepoint, travel and most importantly, to ride my bicycle. I have just committed to ride a one day, 100 mile bike ride in Hanover NH with my son this summer.

 

Your favorite spot to relax in Ohio/Kentucky: The Loveland bike path on a Sunday afternoon.

 

Latest inspiration: A friend whose cancer has reappeared after 15 years in remission. She is living her life fully and without bitterness.

 

Your perspective on SVP Cincinnati: It is all the things the name says. “Social”- it is an amazing group of new and old friends. We enjoy being together and have fun whether we are working or playing. “Venture”- we are helping our investees build their infrastructure and capacity, teaching them to fish rather than giving them a fish. This was exactly what I was looking for, and I find it is a perfect use of my skill sets. “Partners”- Everyone works together well, without egos. When a certain problem arises, it is always easy to find someone who has a specific expertise to help with the solution.
